PRE-OPERATION:
Testing and Surveying
a. Prior to operating the AM frequency portion of this radio equipment, a
number of internal/external surveys and tests were performed by the technician.
This was to insure a clear signal, which would not impose on the rights of both
licensed commercial stations and listeners of the same. As a result, 1610 kHz
was selected.
b. Months of part-time research and testing were conducted to insure that this
station fully complies with the technical requirements of FCC Rules &
Regulations, Part 15.219
Operations began in Corvallis, Oregon March 18, 2009 around 10pm. In 1993 the FCC officially expanded the AM radio band. Not much noticed by the public, Now frequencies from 1610 to 1710 called the "Expanded AM" are often allocated for various low power broadcasting. Typical uses include Colleges, TIS (Traveler Info Service), NOAA weather, car dealers, real estate, special event language translation,churches and "microbroadcasters" - real radio stations at teeny tiny power levels, that's us!
All AM receivers manufactured since 1993 should be able to tune up to 1710Khz. In this day of hi tech, AM radio has found it's niche. That niche is talk. We talk 24/7. We invite you to listen. We have hosts from many perspectives and backgrounds. See our hosts page for more details.r
OVERVIEW:
Operated by local concerned citizens, the network broadcasts "alternative" thought provoking talk radio using a networked series of transmitters around the city. Each node utilizes a professional quality FCC certified AM transmitter that is limited to 100mW of power installed in a manner adhering to strict compliance with FCC part 15.219 rules so as to maintain theFCC certification of each transmitter. We do not seek to compete for advertising revenue from any 'big' stations. We will refuse advertising from any entity known to have advertised with any big stations. What you are hearing on our frequency 1610khz are radio networks that are streaming live or recent shows through the internet.

Our mission is to empower our listeners with a fresh perspective. We believe you CAN handle the truth! We aim to give it to you. Why do we go through life presuming that ABCBSMSNBCNNFOX is telling us the truth? or at least not omitting important facts or events or investigations. Look, if the rich and powerful own and operate ABCBSMSNBCNNFOX they would have a natural desire to present the world to you in such a manner so as to maintain said wealth, power & influence and not present the world in a way that would improve your wellbeing at their expense.OUR PERSPECTIVE:
When the mainstream news outlet we call 'ABCBSMSNBCNNFOX' dominates a MONTH of Michael Jackson coverage in near perfect unison at the expense of not covering the errosion of our nation on many levels, well, they didn't lie to the viewers. They simply distracted them for a full month from what we really need to know in order to make better personal decisions such as wiser food choices and smarter voting choices.This would not be a problem IF everything was fine in our world, but whether you have chosen to be on the blue team known as the Democrats or the red team aka Republicans, we all should know by now that America has serious problems that must be fixed. We believe you CAN HANDLE THE TRUTH! Because of what we have learned we are fully driven to provide a new media choice driven by citizenry not corporate media leadership. We have already and will remove any radio host that lies repeatedly or gets sucked into a false left-right paradigm matrix. We welcome your feedback so we can remove any host on our station found to be violating decency laws or calling for physical violence.
If you believe all Democrats are bad and stupid and all Republicans are smart and good or visa versa, you believe this because you have for whatever reason believed what has been presented to you from one of those two teams. The reason the 'other side' believes so strongly that you are wrong about everything is because they have been fed enough genuine truth from leaders teaching them what they are supposed to believe that they swallow the whole agenda. If they critized their side on several major issues, they would become outcasts. Where can they go? The other side, which they KNOW is 'all' wrong? NEVER. So the general public votes with party lines. Leadership has figured out that a two party system with pretty much the same goals (behind the scenes) can share power by simply popping in and out of power every 2,4,6, or 8 years as the case may be. Career politicians won't have to submit power back to the citizenry. Yet the country as a whole is being stripped of it's ability to provide the infrastructure needed to enable the middle class to thrive.
